Why

WAMTI?

When visiting a restaurant, it is common to claim a table for yourself or for two. Sometimes three guests sit at three different tables. This also happens in cafes, bars, beer gardens, and canteens. More than half of of people sitting alone would not mind other guests to sit at the table with them and having a little chat. But people want to be polite and don't want to seem intrusive, so nobody asks and everyone remains alone. It's a shame about the lost space and the missed chance of human contact.

do you use the WAMTI?

The WAMTI usually lies horizontally on the table. These instructions for use may be found on the WAMTI: »If you would like to sit alone and undisturbed, leave this WAMTI as it is. If you don't mind someone sitting at your table, set up the WAMTI. «Guests who enter a restaurant and see a WAMTI standing at a table can ask without hesitation whether they can sit down. Guests who are already in company or who want to stay among themselves simply leave the WAMTI on the table - and everything stays the same.
